We had an incredible two years of growth in 2025 and 2026, doubling our regular participants through new and returning members. We’d love to expand our offerings to other locations, add additional afterschool days, and be able to offer more paid opportunities. As a reminder Denver Writes is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit so all donations are tax deductible.

Donation Guide

A $25 donation will provide snacks for our creative writing club.
We offer creative writing club four times a week at locations throughout the Denver Metro Area.
A $50 donation will provide supplies for our workshops.
We offer monthly themed writing workshops from August to April.
A $100 donation will provide snacks and supplies for a summer camp.
We offered three summer camps in 2025.
A $200 donation will provide special events to our programming.
Trips to museums, ice cream days, and special guest instructors are among our special events.
A $300 donation will cover the cost of a scholarship to one of our camps.
We were able to offer scholarships and partial scholarships in all three of our 2025 summer camps.
A $500 donation will fund a publication of our participants’ writing.
We plan on releasing four writing publications in 2026 to highlight the work of our young writers.
A $1000 donation will fully fund a summer camp.
We offer a stipend to our summer camp instructors for their services. Our instructors include authors, teachers, and recent graduates seeking teaching experience.
Snack Donations
Denver Writes will accept snack donations for our workshops, camps, and afternoon clubs. Due to allergies, we ask for items without peanuts.
Supplies Donations
Denver Writes will accept donations of writing supplies (pencils, pens, paper, markers, colored pencils, etc.) for all of our programming.
Programming Locations
Denver Writes is always looking for local businesses and nonprofits in new locations and neighborhoods to partner with to host our programming. We are currently seeking a replacement location in north Denver to replace a closed location.
